  • Overview

    The Business Analyst Manager of the Transition Services group supports the discovery, due diligence activities and orchestration planning for the managed service portfolio. We are seeking a high caliber individual to serve in a client engagement role to understand client challenges and design appropriate solutions within HBR Managed Services portfolio.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for planning and overseeing the transfer of key information necessary for the delivery, support, and operation IT managed services.
    • Engage with client stakeholders to gain an understanding of business process and requirements that will contribute to key areas of the service blueprint.
    • Lead information gathering activities to determine organizational structures, application portfolio, business continuity needs, user computing environments and user support functions.
    • Identify key client business needs, issues and validate service scope necessary for translation into design development, contract exhibits and asset procurement.
    • Develop supporting documentation including infrastructure/application support models, delivery resource needs, change management processes and operational readiness and delivery checklists.
    • Serve as a liaison to orchestrate activities with the PMO and integration with technical engineering, operations, user support and business operations functions.
    • Work with lead project managers to establish the project plan, communication schedule, activity timeline and transition approach.
    • Contribute to business case and pre-sales efforts with a focus on client current state environments, resource planning, cost estimates, and timeline of activities.
    • Participate in business development activities to promote client awareness of transition planning and support processes.
    • Work with leadership to develop internal reference design frameworks, implement operational processes and technology that support value creation and process efficiency across functions.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in IT or relevant business field is required.
    • ITIL and/or PMP certification a plus.
    • Minimum of 4 years of consulting and/or client engagement role is required.
    • Minimum of 4 years of experience in transition project management or related field.
    • Work experience in a professional services industry preferred. Legal industry experience a plus.
    • Experience in planning and implementing IT integration and separation as the result of managed service and IT outsourcing engagements.
    • Knowledge across critical components of IT (e.g. infrastructure, applications, IT operations, IT finances and expenses, end-user computing, enterprise architecture).
    • Industry understanding of the legal customer strategy, services and business processes a plus.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including stakeholder presentation.
    • Strong problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.
    • Understanding of business process and use of technology services for delivery within a managed service model.
    • Practical experience with client engagement, communications, culture and change management.
    • Ability to manage multiple transition engagements in a fast-paced environment.
    • Expected to act with minimum supervision and to deliver to schedule, budget and scope.

    Travel 

    • Preferred location is Chicago however, location flexible for tele-commuting from east coast metropolitan cities.
    • Ability to travel 50 - 75%.
