    HBR Consulting LLC is seeking an experienced Technology Finance professional to support FP&A and general finance activities for its IT solutions business. Reporting to the Finance Business Partner, this individual will partner with HBR’s IT Managed Services and Managed Technology Services leaders to provide support for day-to-day and long-term strategic financial decisions and planning.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist in the development of annual and mid-year budgeting and forecasting.
    • Develop project level expense schedules to support the 2019 Budget.
    • Review monthly operating results, identifying key trends, variances, and areas of improved performance. This will include updating financial reporting packages and initiative summaries.
    • Assist in the preparation of business reviews and presentations to senior management (CFO, COO, CEO).
    • Partners with technology teams to track CapEx and OpEx spending at the project level.
    • Analyze and model the financial impact of technology investment decisions. 
    • Monitor the sales pipeline to align projections with the timing of expenses from new business.
    • Participate in gathering input for bottom-up IT cost modeling and monthly tracking of project level key performance indicators.
    • Participate in month-end close process, including preparation of journal entries (accruals, reclasses).
    • Prepare ad-hoc analysis to support business cases.

    Qualifications

    • 5 to 7 years of work experience in finance or accounting, preferably in a role supporting a technology organization (IT Infrastructure, DevOps).
    • Prior exposure to IT procurement and asset management processes a plus.
    • Familiarity with ServiceNow and ITIL concepts.
    • High attention to detail.
    • Ability to multitask yet work in a disciplined manner.
    • Strong visual representation capabilities and high proficiency in PowerPoint.
    • Self-starter who takes ownership and accountability for high quality work product.
    • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel including advanced formula’s, SQL and VBA
    • Experience with NetSuite, QlikView and Adaptive Insights a plus.
    • Degree in finance or accounting from an accredited institution.
    • Thorough understanding of GAAP; CPA preferred.
