The Project Manager is accountable for managing day-to-day activities of project team, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery. This role also manages one or more defined workstreams across all phases.
Coordinates with Client Engagement Manager, Project Portfolio Manager and Resource Managers to ensure key initiatives, progress, risks, user impacts are properly prioritized, managed and communicated across all efforts.
Utilize and maintain formal project management documentation and methodology per approved standards.
Set team goals and objectives based on project plan; manage resources and monitor project progress and performance to ensure key milestones and deliverables are met.
Manage project administration and financials (e.g. budget to actuals).
Provide senior team members and stakeholders with project updates by creating detailed reports and presentations.
Interface with client personnel as needed for progress updates, resource coordination, etc.
Additional duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Computer Science or related field required; PMP certification a plus.
5 years technical project delivery experience.
Familiarity with general technologies included in managed services; Experience implementing the following and/or related:
New Data Centers
Document Management Systems (iManage, NetDocuments, etc.)
Monitoring Tools (Solarwinds, etc.)
Service Desk Tools (ServiceNow, etc.)
Microsoft Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions (Active Directory, Exchange, Lync and SharePoint)
Virtualization Platforms (VMware)
Data Storage Technologies, Data Backup & Recovery
Enterprise Networking PC and Application Deployment/Management; Deployment/User scheduling/Deployment process coordination; Disaster Recovery, etc.
Experience managing technical project delivery; Ability to plan and manage execution of complex, yet detailed, work efforts across multiple groups, to include leading teams through all project development and planning cycles.
Excellent organizational skills; Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong verbal and written communications skills.
Strong interpersonal skills; Demonstrated ability to interact with senior management/leadership, external stakeholders, as well as other team members.
Ability to work cooperatively within a team and across the organization matrix to achieve group and organizational goals.
Willingness to travel, based on client and organizational needs.
