  • Overview

    HBR Consulting is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead and support various aspects of the company’s strategy and finance and accounting operations.  This is a dynamic role that will require an individual with the ability to analyze and solve complex business issues in an efficient and straightforward manner.

    Responsibilities

    • Partner with HBR’s finance and business unit leadership by providing analytics to influence revenue growth and profitability through planning and execution of its strategic vision.
    • Take ownership of various aspects of the company’s annual budgeting and reforecasting processes; activities include using driver-based models to build revenue projections, staffing projections and other expenses.
    • Support month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate delivery of HBR’s financial reporting.
    • Prepare and present reports for management to enable informed and intelligent financial decision-making.
    • Work closely with members of HBR’s ERP implementation team to empower the company with more reliable and timely information.
    • Support the finance and accounting team in the creation and maintenance of finance and accounting standard operating procedures.
    • This position will also be required to support a variety of activities to support HBR and its business units. Some examples could include:
      • Pricing and profitability tools and analysis
      • New market entry analysis
      • Geographic expansion
      • Collaboration with HBR’s human resources, IT, marketing and legal teams to deliver cross-functional support to HBR’s business units

    Qualifications

    • Four to six years of work experience in finance, accounting or a similar position.
    • Able to positively influence others in the company, including those over whom you do not have direct authority.
    • Self-starter who is accountable to her or his own work product.
    • Able to transform disparate data sets from varying sources into meaningful business insights.
    • Strong business presentation skills, including the ability to visualize complex business issues and their solutions.
    • Highly proficient in data analysis software, including but not limited to Excel, Tableau, Qlik and/or Power BI.
    • Experience with Netsuite is a plus.
    • Degree in finance, accounting or business from a major university.
