    HBR Consulting LLC (HBR) is seeking a content manager to be part of its marketing team. As a content manager you will join a growth-oriented Firm focused on advancing HBR’s brand in the market.

    In this role, you will be responsible for helping to establish the strategic direction for Firm-wide content, as well as collaborate with practice group and operations teams to ensure all assets conform to a consistent content strategy, tone and message. Additionally, the content manager will continuously strive to improve and refine the Firm’s content and ensure effective communication tactics align with target audiences.


    Essential Responsibilities

    • Cultivates high-quality, consistent streams of content to position HBR as an expert resource among key stakeholders, including clients, prospects and media contacts
    • Collaborates with internal subject matter experts, as well as external writers and creative designers to produce highly effective content
    • Works with senior executives to establish priorities, creating and implementing content and communication plans that effectively deliver key messages to target audiences 
    • Engages internal subject matter experts in conversations to understand how HBR’s solutions intersect with market trends, using the results of those conversations in thought leadership development
    • Creates and manages content / editorial calendar to ensure timely publication and distribution of content
    • Produces high-quality articles, white papers, blogs, press releases, e-mail marketing messages, case studies, presentation content, survey reports and web copy
    • Manages and edits the work of other writers, assigning projects and overseeing development
    • Ensures thought leadership materials are being fully leveraged across the Firm
    • Manages external public relations firm, which includes overseeing all press releases, third-party article placements and interview opportunities
    • Collaborates with digital strategist to develop social media content strategy and oversees production of digital assets
    • Follows industry trends and generates ideas for staying current
    • Knowledgeable in SEO best practices and incorporates SEO tactics into overall content strategy
    • Continuously measures and improves content performance; collaborates with digital analyst to create reports leveraging Google Analytics, HubSpot and social media analytics tools
    • Creates and maintains style and brand guides
    • Attends HBR-hosted roundtables and events and supports associated thought leadership development

    Other Responsibilities

    • Oversees digital marketing strategy, including website content, development and analytics
    • Manages all aspects of planning and executing HBR’s annual event, Legal Lab


    • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, liberal arts or related field
    • 7+ years' experience in a senior content strategy, strategic communications or similar role
    • Proven work experience as a content strategist, content manager, communications strategist or similar role
    • A portfolio demonstrating breadth of content / editorial experience, as well as writing experience
    • Knowledge of content management systems (CMS) and marketing automation software
    • Familiarity with SEO guidelines and keyword research tools
    • Experience using social media
    • Solid writing and editing skills in English
    • Ability to guide and motivate team members
    • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a deadline-driven environment

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Project management experience a plus
    • B2B and professional services marketing experience is highly preferred
