The Director, ITS, is responsible for managing key client relationships and delivering end-to-end client solutions and services. The position provides strategic level subject matter expertise to advisory projects and junior team members. The Director seeks to support business growth and opportunities by managing client relationships and providing thought leadership.


This position will be located in Chicago, IL or NY, NY; Remote work from other U.S. locations may be considered for right candidate.


  • Lead end-to-end delivery of ITS engagements, such as assessments, scorecards, strategic planning, managed services transition, and IT staff structure, by communicating with clients, providing scope and direction to ITS team, managing resources, budgeting and executing deliverables.
  • Manage client relationships by fostering, growing, and maintaining relationships with key clients.
  • Develop new business by identifying opportunities to sell services, close new business, and advance new relationships.
  • Lead execution of client deliverables for key clients as well as for projects of high complexity and importance.
  • Manage solution line for clients by determining solution set, GoTo Market strategy, products, methodologies, deliverables, and required resources. Create, lead and implement new solutions to meet client needs.
  • Provide frequent and up-to-date thought leadership, internally and externally, by writing articles and White Papers, leading Webinars, and speaking at Industry events.
  • Serve as subject matter expert for specific areas e.g. security, cloud, knowledge management, artificial intelligence, collaboration, and/or other emerging areas.
  • Manage and mentor others by offering guidance, delegating workload, managing schedules, completing performance reviews, and other managerial tasks.
  • Support the Managing Director, ITS, with budgeting and organizational structure.
  • Additional duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s in Business, IT, or related field.
  • 15 years’ experience as manager working in or with law firms.
  • Extensive knowledge of broad range of technology platforms employed by law firms required including enterprise applications (email, document management, productivity), practice enhancement (workflow, artificial intelligence, knowledge management), IT operations (security, ITIL/ITSM)
  • Strong sense of business acumen and technical knowledge.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; Able to communicate with wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong public speaking skills.
  • Excellent research skills.
  • Strong sense of professionalism.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Flexibility to adapt to new challenges as well as client and business needs.
  • Ability to lead and manage others including delegating workload, managing schedules, completing performance reviews, and other managerial tasks.
  • Willingness to travel at least 50%, based on client and organizational need.
