  • Overview

    HBR Consulting LLC (HBR) is seeking Sourcing, Process Leader to join their Strategic Sourcing and Business Optimization practice. This individual is accountable for evolving and improving the portfolio of sourcing services to be provided by the sourcing consulting team to a client, ensuring they meet agreed levels of quality and profitability.  You will work closely with the Managing Directors of the SSBO practice  who collectively have accountability for selling work, managing client projects, ensuring integrity of end products and retaining talent.

    Responsibilities

    • Design and establish a standardized HBR sourcing process.
    • Create standards in work assignments and delegation of tasks for all of strategic sourcing consultants at various levels. 
    • Partner with project teams to gain visibility into all existing in-flight sourcing projects and upcoming projects over the coming 12 months.
    • Establish process to understand employee productivity and utilization.
    • Create process to track key measures of outcomes and overall productivity of project and project consultants.
    • Design and establish a training process for existing consultants and in-coming consultants.   
    • Enhance various SSBO practice group’s client project deliverables (client business cases, proposal analysis, etc.)
    • Oversee sourcing audits and savings measurements and report to senior level management.
    • Improve sourcing outcomes by 1% in terms of client savings.
    • Drive 10% productivity per year in terms of cost to serve.
    • Increase client signoff values through increased write-ups (when billing actuals) through proactive savings audits.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) in a related field of study.
    • Minimum 5+ years of related business experience, such as business consulting, supply chain, and/or sourcing/procurement.
    • Advanced degrees preferred, though not required.

    Computer Skills:

    • Microsoft Office Suite.

    Travel

    • Willingness to travel up to 20% when necessary.
