Overview

HBR Consulting, LLC is actively seeking a Business Development Associate. You will work with our team to drive revenue by selling software and consulting services specifically to law firms and corporate legal departments. As a member of our practice, you will have a list of accounts in which you will be responsible for managing and selling our software, consulting and managed services solutions.

 

Your career as a Business Development Associate at HBR Consulting will help you develop the sales and business development skills necessary to eventually lead outside sales opportunities with major accounts throughout the industry. This position will work out of our headquarters in Chicago, IL. Ideal candidate should be based out of the Chicagoland area. 

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain an active pipeline of qualified leads through selective cold calling, providing product demonstrations, working leads passed from consultants and HBR marketing campaigns.
  • Develop and maintain detailed and updated opportunity information in our CRM system for each account to ensure appropriate sales support resources can be available.
  • Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely sales forecasts.
  • Aggressively build a pipeline of new business to consistently meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue quotas.
  • Meet set activity standards around outbound calls and emails, customer meetings to qualify opportunities, solution demonstrations and creation of sales presentations.
  • Ability to work with an internal team of Sales Managers and HBR consultants to recommend software and service offerings to prospective clients and existing clients.
  • Establish the best possible long-term relationship with each prospect and customer in order to maximize future revenue opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or similar field of study is required.
  • 2 to 4 years’ experience in business development or inside/outside sales.
  • Experience positioning or selling software solutions and services, preferably to law firms or corporate legal departments.
  • Self-starter who can work independently.
  • Good organizational skills and a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Proven track record of performance in college and/or professional career.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to craft business solutions.
